As we enter our third decade, we realize that the past twenty years has been replete with insights on how to trudge on to the future. As we enter the future we reminisce about our triumphs and draw inspiration from them. We suffered some setbacks but are the better for it, discovering new ways to succeed without fail. Always moving forward and continuously growing so that we can contribute to the betterment of our organization and society as a whole.

History OF STI

The early years of 1980's were the opportune time for the growing computer industry in the Philippines. Various companies were beginning to embrace the electronic data processing technology thereby creating a big demand for a computer literate workforce. STI was founded with a mission to satisfy this demand by providing quality computer education to as many Filipinos as possible.

STI started operating in August of 1983 with COBOL programming as its first major course. From then on, STI implemented full-scale expansion, offering more courses and setting up more schools nationwide. In 1994, its first overseas branch opened in Hong Kong to serve the needs of the Filipino community there. In 2001, STI refocused its vision to further expand its services by venturing into non-ICT programs.

Throughout its more than 20 years of experience in ICT-centered education, STI has developed a comprehensive portfolio of bachelor courses, diploma, and certificate programs in the field of Information and Communications Technology, Healthcare, Business, Education, and Engineering.

Today, STI has over 100 campuses strategically located across the Philippines, making its mark as the largest network of colleges in the country. Information and Communications Technology will continue to drive the world with the onset of the 21st century. As the new economy warrants nations to develop more globally competitive workforce, STI will continue to lead in ICT-enabled human resource development through innovative learning and career planning methodologies.
